My Platform Pillars
I am committed to perform at the highest level to represent my district and the Commonwealth as your delegate. My reputation and history of service validate this statement. The foundation of my platform includes:
SERVICE - GOVERNANCE - LEADERSHIP.
Service
John F. Kennedy stated, “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country,” and he challenged every American to contribute in some way to public good. Being a Marine instilled in me the spirit to do just that.
Governance
In his Gettysburg Address, Lincoln stated, “…this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom—and that government of the people, by the people, for the people…” We have seen too often that those in positions of government often ignore the people they are supposed to represent. That is not the way “serving the people” should be conducted.
Leadership
“Servant leadership turns the power pyramid upside down; instead of the people working to serve the leader, the leader exists to serve the people. When leaders shift their mindset and serve first. Servant leaders are known to be those individuals who put the people first, who collaborate, mentor, and give of themselves for the pure and unselfish betterment of others. They are often regarded as selfless, humble, and generous…Military leadership is based on a concept of duty, service, and self-sacrifice; we take an oath to that effect.”
