Who is Bellamy Brown?

I am a Charlottesville native, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and an alumnus of James Madison University and UVA’s Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership. I spent my formative school years attending Venable, Walker, Buford, and Charlottesville High School and have a vested interest in seeing our community and the 54th District become stronger and better for everyone.

I have held various leadership roles, both in service to our country and in business, using practical, action-oriented solutions to solve real problems. I have demonstrated the ability to contribute positively toward government leadership that our district both needs and deserves. Leadership that governs effectively, and leads in a way that creates trust.

My grandparents, guided by their strong faith, worked tirelessly for the Charlottesville community, and Albemarle county. They taught me the value of hard work, perseverance, and service. I know what it takes to build trust with those I serve. To navigate through the many challenges facing our district will require this trust as well as strong leadership and collaboration amongst our public, private, nonprofit, and other community partners.
